Steve Coker sums it up perfectly, noting how the barbershop has “brought back the old school style” he grew up with, delivering impeccable results for himself and his children. It’s clear that this isn’t just a place to get a haircut—it’s where tradition meets expertise, and community connections are forged.
The barbershop also welcomes seniors and those looking for classic cuts without fuss. Jimmie Dill’s words paint a vivid picture: “Back to clippers and straight razors... they do great work. I’m a senior and not into fancy cuts,” highlighting the shop’s respect for timeless styles and skilled technique. It’s this blend of tradition and honest craftsmanship that makes Old 64 Barbershop stand out.
Beyond the precision cuts, clients often leave enriched with helpful styling tips and engaging conversation. John Michael Blackmon describes his visit as undeniably stellar, praising not only the haircut but also the friendly and knowledgeable environment. It’s a place where stories are shared, connections deepened, and everyone leaves feeling a little more confident and cared for.
Old 64 Barbershop is more than just a grooming spot—it’s a community cornerstone where quality meets character, and every customer is treated like family. Whether you’re a longtime resident or new to the area, this is the go-to destination for authentic barbershop excellence in Sumiton.
Great shop. Kinda like when I was a kid with a new twist. I’ve been letting Eric cut what little hair I’ve got since he opened shop. He really cares about his customers and his quality of work. Always good conversation too. Keep up the good work guys!
This place has the best vibes. I go and see Eric for my hair whenever I get the chance. He has also cut my sons hair. The wait is always pleasant and there is plenty of room people to be comfortable.
I have been getting my hair cut here since right after they opened. These guys have brought back the old school style of barbershop that I grew up in. They have also done a great job on my hair as well as my kids hair and always do a bang up job. Even when I don't get a hair cut I can always drop in and hang out!!. I won't let anyone else cut my hair
The guys here were amazing. Got a stellar cut, had an incredible time chatting, and got some great hair care and styling tips. 5/5 I will definitely be back. I just found my barbershop!
There use to be barber shops everywhere but then they got to be fewer and fewer of them. I got my hair cut at a relatives beauty shop until she retired. Barber shops had made a comeback some years earlier. I was fortunate to go to Old 64 barbershop and back to clippers and straight razors. They do great work, I'm a senior and not into the fancy cuts. I have had the opportunity to see their handy work and craftsmanship performed on young people. So I can honestly say whatever you're looking for in a haircut, there's a barber there to meet your needs. Call and make yourself an appointment, though, because they stay quite busy. My young barber cut my hair for the last time. He is opening his new Barbershop in Warrior, Alabama. If you are looking for a Barber, go by his shop for your next haircut. He is a good barber that I highly recommend. It's several miles from Sumiton to Warrior, so my next appointment at 64 is with Jason. With 4 chairs in 64, there's a variety of barber's give them a call, or if you live in Warrior, call Bryce a call they're all good.
Both my boys have been several times & will not go anywhere else. Great prices, great haircuts & the guys are always so nice.
These guys are phenomenal. Took my 2 year old today. Luckily for them he was distracted and calm for them. Jason was very helpful and cut my 2 year old kids hair great. We've been to so many places. This is by far the best.
